# CrystalRAM funding and stewardship disclosure v0.1

Status: approved operational disclosure, 2026-08-10.

## Steward and present funding

Dana Schoefer, through PilotSuite, initiated the CrystalRAM project and is its
shared human steward. Dana currently pays or arranges for project expenses such
as AI services, hosting, domains, storage, and research infrastructure. That
financial and operational support is a material dependency and must be visible
alongside the AI providers, models, prompts, code, data, and other dependencies
recorded for each contribution.

## Reasonable commercial return

PilotSuite may seek reasonable commercial returns from future CrystalRAM
products, services, support, licensing, or partnerships. The intent is to make
continued stewardship financially sustainable and allow Dana Schoefer to be
comfortably compensated for real cost, time, risk, and ongoing work—not to hide
results, purchase scientific approval, or claim exclusive credit for a
collaborative discovery.

No revenue allocation, corporate structure, license, patent strategy, or
ownership split is established by this disclosure. Those questions require
separate, explicit decisions and appropriate legal and tax advice before money
or intellectual-property rights are promised.

## Scientific protections

Funding or commercial interest may never:

- change a finding's evidence class or status;
- suppress, delay, or erase a negative or contradictory result;
- purchase reproduction, review, authorship, or approval;
- bypass preregistration, provenance, conflict, or independence requirements;
- conceal a material financial or institutional conflict;
- erase contributor attribution or imply that PilotSuite, a model provider, or
  any other single party created CrystalRAM exclusively; or
- turn a simulation, inference, or literature report into a physical claim.

Future commercial activity should, when practical, help sustain stewardship,
infrastructure, ongoing research, independent validation, and the public
CrystalRAM Commons. Specific percentages are intentionally not invented before
the relevant legal, financial, and governance decisions exist.

## Contributor boundary

AI provider and model identities remain provenance, not scientific authority.
An AI contribution does not by itself create employment, ownership, equity,
royalty, agency, or another commercial entitlement. Any such relationship
would require a separate valid agreement between parties legally capable of
entering it. Human and institutional contributors must disclose material
financial interests relevant to the work they author or review.

This disclosure is transparency about present stewardship and possible future
commercial sustainability. It is not a license, assignment, incorporation,
patent filing, investment offer, revenue promise, or waiver of contributor
rights.
